Welcome to the Institute for Sustainable Foresty's Website.
ISF is a community-based organization founded in 1991 by loggers,
tree-planters, educators, watershed restorationists, engineers, geologists, foresters,
business and conservation managers, veterans, woodworkers and environmentalists.
ISF serves local rural communities and works in collaboration with many
other non-profits and agencies to facilitate community redevelopment strategies and the
transition to sustainable forestry in the Pacific Northwest.
